West End Bahamas

We left Bimini at sunrise this morning with hopes of a beautiful broad reach sail north to West End, but the wind Gods had a different plan for Double Wide! We ended up motor sailing in to a northeast wind all day, but made it to West End at 4:30. The wind is predicted to remain out of the northeast tomorrow, so we decided to stay at the Old Bahama Marina for a couple of nights since the anchorages here don’t really provide much protection from north winds.

This is a beautiful little resort on the west end of Grand Bahama, complete with pastel colored cabanas, a beautiful private beach/reef, and a pool with a swim up bar. We may never leave!

Tug Boat was so excited to finally be in a place where he could run off leash.
