Little Harbor, Abacos

We motored down to Little Harbor today. Note that I said MOTORED. When we announced we were heading out, the wind Gods changed the wind direction for us so that it would be on the nose for us…

In truth, there wasn’t much wind at all, so we would have ended up motoring regardless, but I think it’s interesting that in 30 days, we’ve only had about 3 days where the wind wasn’t either dead on our nose, or very close to it! The cruising friends we’ve met on this trip tell us that’s what we get for trying to cruise on a schedule.

As we were heading down, we passed through a couple of rain squalls, which didn’t have much wind, but did cool us down a bit.

Little Harbor is just that — little. To accomodate more boats, the local bar, Pete’s Pub, has put in mooring balls and I suppose the harbor will hold about 10 boats and that’s stretching it. It’s sticky and hot tonight — and the mosquitos are ferocious, so we’re running the generator and have AC running. Is this cruising or what?

I spent a little time playing with my GoPro today. I took some underwater footage that I’ll upload when I have a faster internet connection. Here are a few pictures that I thought were kind of cool. I really like the wide angle view of the GoPro camera.
