Snorkeling near Big Munson

From Rodriguez Key, we made a 45 mile run to Marathon where we overnighted. The next day we continued on towards Key West, but rather than doing a long 45 mile day again, we stopped for a snorkel off of Big Munson Key. What a fantastic stop!

Late in the day, we moved in to protected waters off of Picnic Island. The guide book said this was a great place to walk your dog with multiple trails criss-crossing the island. In reality, the island is maybe 100 feet wide and 150 feet long and the trails are a couple of paths from one side of the island to the other. At any rate, it was a nice calm anchorage and we enjoyed another night at anchor.

Thanks I was playing around with the GoPro trying to get a combo shot, water/air. I wish I had more time to play with this.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing — do you miss the “real world” yet?

No, we don’t miss the “real world” at all. It’s going to be tough to go back to work…
