Fort Myers Beach…

What a week! We arrived at Fort Myers Beach at 7:45 PM. What a ride! Of the 8 trips I’ve now successfully made across the Gulf of Mexico, this was, by far the toughest trip that I’ve ever had. I’ll have some reflections, I’m sure to share in the next day or two. For tonight, Jack, Tim, and I would like to thank you all for your interest in our adventure and your concern for our safety. The uncomfortable and scary moments are quickly fading from our memories, helped along by the Rum Crest’s we are drinking to celebrate our arrival. A quick shower and we’ll be headed for a seafood meal and then a bed that’s not moving!! Good Night All….

Our coordinates at 7:45 PM:

26.27 North
81.57 West

Sounds like you all have a well deserved plan ahead this evening.
Now if you can just keep the land beneath you from moving!

Congratulations to 3 tough men! I can tell by your “humble” postings, this one was a “ride, once again proving the skills you have learned from your dad and your experiences. Double Wide, enjoy Fort Meyers, oil companies, enjoy the Gulf!

Holy Cow, Clark! Just caught up with this after your post on Mantatech. Glad you’re safe and thanks for sharing all the gory details. We learn as much from others’ experience as we do our own. We’ll toast your safe arrival from the cockpit of Escape Velocity.

I can not take it anymore, I’m 84. Glad you made it safely. Had my doubts at times.
Clark, I think eight trips are enough. God bless the whole crew.
