About Clark

My name is Clark Haley and I am the luckiest person in the world! I was blessed with a great family and dreamlike childhood. I met and married the woman of my dreams and together we raised two wonderful boys. My work is fulfilling, and most days I enjoy going in to the office. I am no where near “rich” but, I have obtained a certain level of comfort that allows me to enjoy a few modest hobbies and one or two bad habits.
I grew up in Port Isabel Texas on the shores of the Laguna Madre. My parents owned a small sporting goods store and marina and I spent my youth working on and around boats. My Dad has always been one of those guys that could do anything. In my eyes, he was the MacGyver of boats. Through him, I learned to be creative and resourceful (two traits which have helped me throughout my career in business).
My wife Michelle and I have been married over 20 years. Together we have two sons, Patrick and Sean, that have both left the home. Our oldest, Patrick, graduated from Texas A&M in 2012 and is now working for my company. Our youngest, Sean, is at Texas A&M in Galveston and hopes to graduate in December 2013. We are proud of the young men they have become and look forward to watching them build lives of their own.
The entrepreneurial spirit is in my blood. I did work for a couple of people for a few years after college, but for the past 28 years, I’ve owned a company that specializes in helping small/medium businesses automate their accounting and business systems. I have worked with hundreds (thousands?) of companies through the years and I have witnessed the birth of many great companies and I’ve watched the slow agonizing deaths of companies that couldn’t bring themselves to change with the business climate.
clarkThough I’m not quite ready to retire, I am ready to begin a new chapter of my life with Michelle. Over the next few years, we plan to spend more time together on our wonderful “Double Wide.” We’re planning trips to Florida, the Bahamas, and Mexico over the next few years. Beyond that, who knows!
