Sunset Key West Style
We love sunsets and Key West is world famous for theirs. I have to say, there really is something special about this place as the sun recedes in to the ocean. If it’s your first Key West sunset, you must go to Malory Square. Watch the sun go down, of course, but there’s much more to sunset at Malory. There are acrobatic acts, one man bands, cat juggling (yes, I said CAT JUGGLING – you’ll just have to see the act because I can’t really explain it), food vendors, artists, and plenty of tourists. Pre-sunset is a worthwhile show unto itself.
Having been here for a few days, we’re over the action at Malory, but we’re not yet over the sunsets. The bow of our boat provides a perfect frame for the canvas that reveals itself every night here in KW. We take our cushions forward along with a favorite adult beverage and watch the show. The word to use here is AWSOME!
Tonight’s sunset was especially beautiful and memorable. I’m a bit melancholy because tomorrow I have to fly to California for a business trip and that signals the end of our wonderful Bahamas vacation. Michelle will stay with the boat and I’ll return on Thursday and then we’ll be headed back across the Gulf of Mexico within a few days. 🙁
